or are there exceptions to the rule?
I've learned a lot of things in the past few weeks
about people I have known and love dearly. I am second guessing the underlying premise that everything is black and white.
There are a lot of gray lifestyles out here, and who am I to judge?
I have been subject to several confidential confessions, all of which have surprised me.
On the outside, I am able to see both sides, and all parties have fair arguments.
I find it best not to pick sides, but empathize with each. To keep my opinions to myself, to do my very best to understand their past and remain hopeful that ultimately that life leads them down the path they were always meant for.
Because if and when I am in a shade that isn't so clear, it will be these very same friends that I will confide in.
